Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight within designated city routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and secure freight using equipment such as forklifts and other heavy machinery when necessary
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptl
- Assist with freight handling, including loading and unloading cargo with precision and care
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a logistics or warehouse setting
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on vehicles
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery processes
- Physical ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and customers effectively
