List of Requirements
We're looking for someone who
- Enjoys working with people and building positive relationships.
- Has experience in community support, social services, health care, recreation, or a related field.
- Is organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Has strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Is comfortable using computers and common digital tools.
- Is willing to learn about acquired brain injury and person-centred support.
- Experience with brain injury is an asset but not required.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- FoodSafe certification is an asset.
List of Duties
- Provide one‑on‑one support to individuals living with acquired brain injuries.
- Help clients identify and work toward personal goals that promote independence and community participation.
- Connect clients with community resources and services.
- Plan and facilitate group programs, workshops, and recreational activities.
- Support community outreach and brain injury awareness initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation.
- Assist with newsletters, social media, and other communication projects.

- The Powell River Brain Injury Society is looking for a compassionate, motivated Community Support Worker to join our team.
