Matrix HR is recruiting experienced Concrete Carpenters / Formwork Carpenters on behalf of an established Commercial-Industrial Concrete Contractor for ongoing concrete projects throughout the Edmonton area. This is hands-on construction work involving concrete formwork, structural concrete, flatwork, foundations, equipment pads, grade beams, and pre-pour preparation. The successful candidates will support commercial and industrial concrete projects by building, setting, bracing, stripping, and repairing concrete formwork while maintaining a robust focus on safety, quality workmanship, and productivity.

This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta, with travel required to various client project sites throughout the Edmonton area.

grade, elevation, and alignment - Experience constructing and installing formwork for:

- Foundations - Concrete slabs - Equipment pads - Grade beams - Walls - Other structural concrete applications - Experience completing pre-pour preparation activities and coordinating with other trades, including rebar and concrete placement teams - Ability to work safely and efficiently in an active construction environment - Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation - Ability to travel to various Edmonton-area project sites - Strong safety record, reliable attendance, and ability to work effectively as part of a crew - Ability to meet site-access requirements, including testing requirements where applicable Assets - Journeyperson Carpenter certification - Experience working on industrial, energy, plant-site, civil, or heavy-commercial construction projects - Experience with engineered formwork systems such as Doka, Peri, Aluma, Duraform, or similar - Experience with structural foundations, equipment foundations, grade beams, elevated concrete, or complex formwork systems - CSTS, First Aid, WHMIS, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, or other current safety tickets If you are an experienced Concrete Carpenter / Formwork Carpenter looking for your next opportunity in the Edmonton area, we want to hear from you.
