We're hiring labourers for our South Division in Medicine Hat. No experience required; what we need is someone who turns up on time, works hard in all weather, and wants to learn a trade around heavy equipment.

Who we are

Weir Construction Ltd. is an Alberta civil and oilfield construction contractor with divisions in Grande Prairie and Medicine Hat. We build lease sites, access roads, pipeline right-of-way and earthworks for energy and municipal clients, and we run our own fleet. We invest in people who hold themselves to a high standard, starting with the ones at the bottom of the ladder.

What you'll be doing

- Site preparation, hand digging around utilities, and finishing work the machines can't do
- Spotting for operators, flagging, and traffic control
- Fencing, matting, silt fence and erosion control
- Fuelling,



greasing and cleaning equipment alongside the operators
- Loading and unloading materials
- Keeping the site clean, safe and organised

What we need from you

- Physical fitness for outdoor manual work in Alberta weather
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
- Reliable transport to the yard or pick-up point
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- The work ethic to match

- A valid Class 5 licence

- Small-equipment experience: skid steer, packer, compactor

None of the assets are required. We can train from zero; attitude and reliability are what we can't teach. Job Type: Full time
