Overview The Corporate Accountant is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis of the Company's corporate entities and holding companies. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, supports month-end and year-end activities, manages intercompany transactions, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the organization's financial operations and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for corporate entities and holding companies.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and supporting schedules for corporate entities, investments, loans, and fixed assets.
- Administer corporate revenue streams, including management fees, development fees, intercompany charges, and cost allocations.
- Reconcile and monitor intercompany transactions, shareholder loans, and partner-related activities.
- Collaborate with investment, development, and property management teams on cash calls, distributions, partner reporting, and other financial requests.
- Support cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, lenders, and business partners.
- Assist with audit preparation, tax compliance, corporate filings, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements, internal controls, and finance-related projects.
What Youbring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CFA designation required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience within real estate, development, investment, or multi-entity corporate environments is considered a strong asset.
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, and corporate accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with Yardi is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
