Shift Auto Group is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Corporate Services team in Fredericton, NB. Reporting to the Head of Accounting & Administration, you'll provide financial leadership, oversight, reporting, controls and business support for the independent automotive repair stores operating under the Shift Auto Group. Group, our common purpose is simple: "We create lasting relationships by providing the finest automotive experiences anywhere." What You'll Do - Oversee preparation of financial reports and statements for the repair locations

- Oversee and implement appropriate internal controls and procedures
- Analyze financial performance and key metrics and provide strategic recommendations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and internal policies
- Assist with the preparation of annual business plans and monitor performance against plans
- Provide financial oversight on parts inventory and assist with parts management practices
- Monitor cash flow and ensure processes are in place to ensure cashflow is managed appropriately
- Maintain effective internal controls and support and identify process improvements
- Support business startups, acquisitions, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives




- Maintain strong financial controls and accounting policies
- Other duties as may be required What We're Looking For - 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Chartered Professional Designation (CPA) is preferred
- Solid leadership, financial analysis, and budgeting / business planning skills
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience in automotive retail or automotive repair organizations is considered a strong asset
- Business-minded, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement Competitive salary range is expected to be in the range of $80,000 – $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
