Summary:

Location: Montreal

Work Mode: Hybrid (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the development of core infrastructure components on Sybase, DB2, MSSQL, and recent platforms like MongoDB, Snowflake, and Azure SQL.
- Engage in database engineering projects and strategic RDBMS product evaluations.
- Participate in performance optimization, testing, platform migration, and version upgrades.
- Operate in a fast-paced Agile environment ensuring quality and resiliency.

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of development and performance optimization on major RDBMS and NoSQL (MongoDB) technologies.




- Proficiency in scripting with Python.
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Experience with version control, preferably with GIT.
- Knowledge of ETL products such as Talend or Informatica.
- Familiarity with replication and Agile practices.
- Experience working in geographically dispersed teams.
- Integrity, ownership, and motivation to expand technical and business knowledge.
