Title: DataStage Unix Administration

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proficiency in IBM Infosphere DataStage for ETL development.
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle.
- Deep understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration best practices.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems, including scripting (e.g., Unix Shell Scripting).
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques.
- Experience working in agile environments and potentially with DevOps practices.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with C#, .NET Core, Web API, Angular/React, ASP.NET, MVC.
- Experience using SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase, complex procedures, and SSIS.
- Experience working with DevOps, source code management tools like Git, Jira, Jenkins.
- Familiarity with container-based technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms.
- Experience setting applications in Linux/Windows, IIS/Nginx.
- Experience with APAC Regulatory Reporting.




- Solid technical analytical skills to solve complex problems.
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Develop and implement ETL solutions using DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Focus on data warehousing and data integration projects to ensure data consistency and availability for business intelligence and analytics.
- Optimize the performance of ETL processes to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data processing.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and potentially work within agile frameworks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide support for existing DataStage jobs in production, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
