Dilawri Group in Ontario is actively seeking an Automotive Detailer to join the opening team at Kia Vaughan.
Pay Range: $20.00–$24.00 per hour The Automotive Detailer will be responsible for cleaning and preparing new, pre-owned, service, and customer vehicles in accordance with dealership quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective time management, and pride in delivering consistently high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, and polish vehicle exteriors.
- Apply waxes, sealants, and other approved protective products to vehicle surfaces.
- Vacuum vehicle interiors and remove dust, dirt, and debris.
- Clean upholstery, carpets, floor mats, glass, dashboards, consoles, and other interior surfaces using appropriate products and equipment.
- Shampoo carpets and upholstery when required.
- Clean wheels, tires, door jambs, and other exterior components.
- Clean engines and engine compartments using approved products and procedures.
- Inspect vehicles for stains, damage, or other concerns and report any issues promptly.
- Prepare new and pre-owned vehicles for display and customer delivery.
- Complete assigned detailing work accurately and within established timelines.
- Safely move and park vehicles on dealership property as required.
- Maintain detailing equipment, tools, and supplies in proper working condition.
- Keep the detailing area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all product-handling instructions, workplace health and safety requirements, and dealership procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Sales, Service, and Lot Operations teams.
- Perform other duties required to support dealership operations.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive detailing or vehicle-cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
- Previous dealership experience is considered an asset.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining established quality standards.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and safely use cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with at least three years of licensed driving experience and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions is considered an asset.
