In addition to hosting a wide range of professional development workshops, events and services throughout the year, the ECC team runs a work-integrated learning program to connect engineering students with a wide range of industry opportunities. Under the general direction of the Director, Student Development & Career Programming, the incumbent is responsible for the implementation and facilitation of preparatory programming for PEY Co-op students. Advising students on job search, industry research and networking strategies including cover letter, resume and interview preparation Advising and coaching students on work search strategies and skills, interview skills and/or performance, developing career-related goals Advising students on career-related matters by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individual’s background Keeping well-informed on the various psychological,



personal and informational factors involved in comprehensive career development approaches Analyzing statistical information to evaluate the performance of programs and/or partnerships Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. Minimum three years recent and relevant experience with student career advising and student career programming.

Experience developing relevant career education and employment-readiness programming in a curriculum-based experiential learning program.

Experience incorporating and teaching technology, social media, and online career-development tools in career education programming.

Experience in coaching individuals on resume writing and interview techniques. High level of proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel). Superior customer service and interpersonal skills with a service orientation towards students, staff and the public and the proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
