This means the successful candidate is expected to report to our office in Markham, ON three times per week, at minimum.About the Team: The Software Quality Automation team enables safe, high-quality automotive software delivery through providing infrastructure pieces for continuous integration and delivery, automated testing, quality gates, behavior-driven development tooling, software visualization, and coverage analysis.We are a collaborative and innovative full stack DevOps tools team focused on building high-quality tools and platforms that empower developers, testers, and system engineers across the organization. Our work sits at the intersection of software quality assurance, DevOps, and tools development—from designing internal web applications and automation frameworks to creating visualization platforms that simplify complex system interactions.Hybrid WorkThis position operates on a hybrid work model, requiring the successful candidate to be onsite a minimum of three times per weekRole Overview:As a Software Quality Automation Developer, you will be responsible for design and development of internal platforms, tools and automation frameworks that support engineering teams across the organization.
You will work on full-stack solutions, from backend services and databases to frontend visualizations — while ensuring quality through test automation, CI/CD integration,
and performance monitoring within the organization.You will collaborate with developers, QA testers, System Engineers and DevOps specialists to build tools that improve workflows, increase visibility into complex systems, and drive consistency across platforms. This role requires a good foundation in software quality practices, automation, software development, and cloud-based development environments, along with curiosity and initiative to learn and grow in both tools development and DevOps practices.Key Responsibilities Design and development of internal full stack tools and frameworks that enhance CI/CD pipelines and improve test automation workflows.
Build and maintain full-stack applications that support requirement owners, developers and QA teams in validating software quality and accelerating delivery.
Create solutions that integrate with version control systems, build pipelines, and automated testing frameworks to streamline engineering processes.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to embed automation, performance monitoring, and IT compliance checks into the software delivery lifecycle.Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience in DevOps, Software Development, Quality Assurance, tools development, web application development Experienced in mainstream computing languages such as Python or C++ Familiarity with data structures and algorithms Experienced in frontend development (HTML, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS frameworks) and/or backend development (Node.js, Express, Flask, GraphQL).
Familiarity with databases (MongoDB, SQL/NoSQL, Postgres, Databricks) and an understanding of how data flows between systems.
Familiarity with test frameworks such as Robot, Unittest, Selenium, PyTest, CppUTest etc.
Legal authorization to work in Canada and ability to travel to the US.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience of working with AI solutions and LLMs (RAG, prompt engineering, finetuning, etc.) Familiarity of automotive software development or embedded systems.
