Digital Interaction Product Designer
Location: Toronto, ON (4/1 Hybrid Schedule)
Duration: 6+ Months W/ Extensions
Hours: 9am to 5pm – 37.5 hours a week
Interview Process:
The first interview will be a video call over Webex for an hour with the hiring manager and 1-2 other people on the team. It will be conversational based where the candidate will present their portfolio and be asked a few questions. The candidate will also have the ability to ask questions and learn more about the team and role.
There may be a second interview, again a video call over Webex for 1.5 hours where the candidate will do a design activity with 2 team members. This will give the candidate the opportunity to learn what it would be like as a member of our design team and get to know the designers they would potentially be working with.
JD:
We have recently identified an opportunity for a Senior Designer to join the team to develop the design, update, and optimize an internal portal for payments search, repair, and creation across multiple business lines and jurisdictions.
This designer will be working with a team to design, update, and optimize an internal portal for wire payments search, repair, and creation across multiple business lines and jurisdictions within the Global High Value Payments space
This designer is the sole designer assigned to this team. In that role,
they will work with developers, product owners, business analysts and others to design features and tools to support payment experiences, and align with designers working on related products on common design components and practices
This person will have earned the confidence of peers and stakeholders by successfully exhibiting a growth mindset, demonstrate emerging leadership skills, and will design cutting-edge solutions in collaboration with the product team, business, tech lead, and their design peers.
They will have proven success in facilitating client and stakeholder feedback.
- Deep expertise in interaction design including user flows wireframing, and prototyping of complex digital products
- Strong experience with client research, usability testing, 1-1 client interviews, and synthesizing feedback from clients.
- Excellent collaboration skills and stakeholder management
- Growth mindset and affinity for leadership
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems and standardized libraries of assets ensuring consistency and scalability across digital products
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and how design translates to development
- Content design / copywriting
- Financial services experience/understanding
