Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Dispatcher to join our growing transportation team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the North American freight market, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and hands-on experience using load boards and dispatching software.

This position is ideal for an experienced dispatcher who can work independently, build strong relationships with drivers and brokers, and consistently secure profitable loads while maintaining productive operations.

Responsibilities

- Source and book profitable loads for company trucks.
- Search and negotiate loads using DAT, and Loadlink.
- Negotiate competitive rates with brokers and customers.
- Plan and coordinate productive routes and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, brokers, customers, and internal management.
- Monitor shipments and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Coordinate driver schedules and provide accurate load information.
- Review rate confirmations, BOLs, and other required documentation.
- Track trucks and provide updates regarding shipment status.
- Handle delays, changes, and other operational issues professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain positive working relationships with brokers, customers,



and drivers.
- Minimize empty miles and maximize truck utilization and revenue.

Qualifications

- 1+ years of professional trucking dispatch experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the North American trucking and freight industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of freight rates, lanes, and market conditions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional, reliable, and results-oriented attitude.
