Stagecoach Performing Arts has been inspiring young performers for over 30 years, offering high-quality part-time training in singing, dancing, and acting for students aged 4–14. We nurture confidence, creativity, and Creative Courage for Life in a warm, inclusive setting.

About the Role

As a Drama Teacher, you will teach students aged 6–14 in group ensemble classes. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate drama lessons that build acting skills, confidence, and teamwork. Lessons may include improvisation, script work, character development, and performance preparation.

Students rotate weekly between drama, singing, and dance classes, with drama sessions lasting approximately 50 minutes. You’ll work collaboratively with the wider teaching team to prepare students for end-of-term showcases and performances.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach weekly drama classes (Saturday mornings, approx. 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
- Plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons for varying skill levels that improve drama skills and build confidence
- Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment




- Collaborate with singing and dance teachers for performances
- Support rehearsals and end-of-term showcases

Qualifications

- Experience teaching drama or theatre to children or youth
- Background in drama, theatre, or performing arts (education or professional)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passionate, reliable, and energetic
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
