We are seeking a skilled Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and home improvement, demonstrating proficiency in various installation tasks. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Installer will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet high-quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
Job Duties
- Tape, mud, and finish drywall seams to a smooth, high-quality finish
- Apply joint compound using hand tools and mechanical tools as needed
- Sand and prepare surfaces for painting or final finishing
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Repair cracks, holes, and surface imperfections in drywall
- Read and interpret blueprints or work orders when required
- Work alongside drywall installers and other construction trades
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organized work area
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a drywall taper or finisher (required)
- Strong knowledge of taping, mudding, and finishing techniques
- Ability to produce smooth, high-quality finishes with attention to detail
- Familiarity with hand tools and drywall finishing equipment
- Physically fit and able to lift materials, stand, and work overhead for extended periods
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Valid driver’s license (asset, depending on job site requirements)
