Title: Dynatrace SME – Tools Integration (Dynatrace & ServiceNow)

Location: Calgary, AB/Remote

Duration: 03+ Months We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design, implement, and support enterprise integrations between Dynatrace and ServiceNow. The role will focus on establishing monitoring governance standards, CMDB synchronization, CI mapping, automated incident management, and maintenance window automation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Dynatrace platform configuration, ServiceNow ITSM/CMDB, API integrations, and operational automation to ensure seamless observability and service management workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 8 years of IT Operations, Monitoring, ITSM, or Observability experience.
- 5 years of hands-on Dynatrace implementation and administration experience.
- Proven experience integrating Dynatrace with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and service management practices.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior work experience at client or in the client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:





- Dynatrace Associate Certification
- Dynatrace Professional Certification

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain integrations between Dynatrace and ServiceNow.
- Configure and manage API-based connectivity between Dynatrace and ServiceNow platforms.
- Ensure reliable data exchange between monitoring, CMDB, incident, and change management processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Define and implement enterprise-wide naming conventions and tagging standards.
- Configure Dynatrace to ServiceNow CMDB integrations.
- Map Dynatrace entities to ServiceNow Configuration Items (CIs).
- Configure automated creation of ServiceNow incidents from Dynatrace problems and events.
- Implement automated maintenance window creation within Dynatrace using ServiceNow Change Requests.
- Optimize integration performance, monitoring coverage, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop integration design documents, SOPs, runbooks, and operational procedures.
