- High school graduate - Preferably college experience - Experience working with childrenli> - Must be able to lift 30 pounds REPORTS TO: Teacher(s) assigned CONFERS WITH: Teacher(s), Specialists, and Building Administrator JOB GOAL: To implement instructional activities and programs as directed PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with students individually, in small groups, or in large groups as necessary and as prescribed by the immediate supervisor.
- Classroom and Support Assistants: Usually work with students in the general school population.
- Special Education Assistants: Usually work with students with identified special needs, or who require additional educational assistance as defined in an individual education plan (IEP). Assistants provide support in the appropriate educational setting.




- Demonstrate a continuous sensitivity to the needs of children to whom they are assigned.
- Carry out instructional or developmental activities suggested by the teacher, specialist, or others designated by the building administrator.
- Maintain competency and skills through a variety of available offerings.
- Educational Assistants may be responsible for personal care needs of student(s) - Educational Assistants may be expected to obtain and maintain CPI (Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: To be established by the school board by August 10th. 2026-2027 HOURLY SALARY: $19.56 plus $1.00 for a certification from the NH Department of Education as a paraeducator II or as a teacher.

An Educational

Assistant who is certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) will receive a $3.00 per hour differential.

HOURS/DAY: 6.5 SCHOOL YEAR: 183 days/year EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated no less than annually by the building administrator and immediate supervisor(s).
