Position #: 158746 Expected Start Date: To Be Determined Union: HSAS Facility: Cut Knife Health Centre City/Town: Cut Knife Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part time regular FTE: 0.67 Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 8 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards.

Education - Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute Licenses - Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)

- Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement
- Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.
- knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice
- Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively
- Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care Other Information - Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
- Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period
