We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grades 1 and 2 English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop their language skills and a love for literature. This role requires effective communication, reading and writing skills, able to do read alouds and novel studies to childrens.
Duties
- Know Phonics well, understand how to engage students in a split grade 1 and 2 class.
- Educate students in reading, writing, grammar, and literature along with novel studies.
- Perform read alouds and encourage reading to students.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with advanced curriculum standards.
- Able to implement split grades with minimum assistance
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Provide additional support to students who require extra assistance.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests,
and classroom participation.
- Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts clearly.
- Experience in tutoring or teaching is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and student records.
- A passion for educating young minds and fostering a love for the English language.
