In this job, you will:
- Prepare and deliver courses using the Ministry of Quebec’s Adult General Education Program, primarily English upgrading courses, with additional subjects assigned based on program and student needs.
- Develop, administer, and mark exams
- Evaluate students
- Communicate details about attendance and student progress to administration
- Maintain the safety of the teaching setting
The Cree School Board is looking for candidates who:
- are passionate about teaching;
- are motivated to invest in the classroom
For more information about the Ministry of Quebec’s Adult General Education Program,
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, notably in education
- Quebec teaching license or equivalent issued by a Canadian province or territory
- Experience teaching adults
- Experience teaching in an Indigenous setting (asset)
- Proficiency in English, as it is the primary language of work
SALARY & BENEFITS
We offer our teachers generous compensation, which includes salary, northern allowance, retention premiums, subsidized (furnished) housing, paid trips home, food transportation allowance, training, and more.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Contractual position according to collective agreement conditions.
Ranges, premiums and benefits are subject to qualifications and collective agreement & number of days worked within a given school year.
