What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an Executive Chef to lead the kitchen at a well established casual dining restaurant and bar in Sherwood Park, Alberta. This is a working chef role for someone who leads from the line, holds a consistent plate, and develops the cooks around them.

The right candidate brings full service kitchen leadership experience and is as comfortable with ordering, inventory, and food cost as they are on a busy Friday night. We are looking for someone organized, calm under volume, and genuinely invested in training a back of house team that wants to stay.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all back of house operations and kitchen execution
- Hire, train, and develop the kitchen team, including sous chefs and line cooks
- Hold plate presentation, portioning,



and recipe adherence to standard on every ticket
- Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Control food cost through purchasing discipline, yield management, and waste reduction
- Build kitchen schedules and manage back of house labour against operational targets
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health compliance to provincial standards
- Oversee equipment upkeep and coordinate repairs before they affect service
- Partner with front of house leadership on timing, flow, and guest feedback
- Execute menu changes and features accurately and on schedule
- Keep prep systems and line setups documented so quality does not depend on one person
