S.E.A.S. Centre is seeking a community-minded, collaborative, and hands-on leader to serve as Executive Director. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in social services, community services, non-profit organizations, or a related field who has developed strong leadership and supervisory skills and is ready to take on broader organizational responsibility.

Previous experience as an Executive Director is not required. We are interested in candidates who bring strong relevant experience, sound judgment, initiative, and the desire and ability to grow into a broader leadership role.

As a small, community-focused organization, the S.E.A.S. Centre offers the successful candidate an opportunity to make a meaningful and visible contribution across programs, operations, funding, partnerships, and community engagement. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners and will gain broad exposure to the many facets of non-profit leadership.

This position may be particularly well suited to a program manager, social-service supervisor, senior coordinator, community-services professional, or non-profit professional who is ready to move into organizational leadership.

We value commitment, integrity, community connection, initiative, sound judgment, and the willingness to learn and grow alongside formal leadership experience.

(3) About the Role The Executive Director provides overall leadership for the Centre and works closely with the Board of Directors to advance the organization's mission, programs,

operations, and community impact.

This is a hands-on leadership position. Working within a small organization, the Executive Director will be involved in a broad range of responsibilities, including:

Responsibilities:

· Providing leadership and direction to staff and volunteers.

· Overseeing programs and services and ensuring they respond effectively to community needs.

· Supporting staff development, supervision, and performance.

· Preparing and monitoring budgets and supporting sound financial administration.

· Identifying funding opportunities and preparing grant and funding applications.

· Maintaining positive relationships with funders, government agencies, community organizations, service providers, and other partners.

· Supporting the Board of Directors with reporting, planning, and organizational matters.

· Overseeing day-to-day administrative and operational activities.

· Strengthening community partnerships and the Centre's visibility and engagement within the community.

· Identifying opportunities for organizational growth, improvement, and sustainability.

· Ensuring that the Centre's activities are carried out in alignment with its mission, values, policies, and applicable requirements.

The successful candidate will bring both strategic thinking and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and contribute wherever needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

· A post-secondary degree in Social Work, Social Services, Non-profit Management, or a related field. A combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered.

· Approximately 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in social services, community services, non-profit organizations, or a related environment.

· Experience in a supervisory,

coordinator, program leadership, management, or other role involving increasing responsibility.

· Experience working with community members, service providers, funders, government agencies, or other external partners.

· An understanding of non-profit operations and an interest in developing or strengthening skills in areas such as budgeting, funding, governance, and organizational management.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

· The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Board, staff, volunteers, and community partners.

· A genuine commitment to supporting diverse and underserved communities.

· Experience working with or serving the Asian community is strongly preferred.

· Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required.

· Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) is an asset but not required.

For the right candidate, the position offers the opportunity to build on existing skilled experience, develop a broader understanding of non-profit leadership, and work closely with the Board and community to strengthen and grow the Centre.
