Finance and Program Administration Clerk - (69034) Government of Yukon - Health & Social Services - Income Support Permanent Full/Part Time Full-time Standard Hours Bi-weekly Saturday/Sunday Travel Open to all Candidates, Preference - Canadian Indigenous Ancestry, Preference - Yukon First Nations ancestry A hiring preference will apply for qualified candidates of Canadian Indigenous ancestry, with a priority for qualified Yukon First Nation candidates. The Finance and Program Administration Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of financial and program administration duties for Income Support Services and programs, including Social Assistance, Yukon Seniors Income Supplement, and the Pioneer Utility Grant.
Income Support
Services (ISS) is looking for a motivated, passionate individual to work as a finance and administrative clerk providing services in a fast paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate needs to be collaborative, have sound conflict management skills and have knowledge of financial and administrative practices. Knowledge of the Income Support programs, including Social Assistance, Yukon Seniors Income Supplement, and Pioneer Utility Grant is an asset.
Experience providing customer service and support to vulnerable populations in a fast-paced environment.
Experience processing financial requests and transactions that are carried out in accordance with legislation, policy, procedures and/or directives.
Experience working with a variety of computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience working in legislative programs will be considered as an asset Completion of post-secondary courses in Accounting, Business Administration, or another related field is an asset Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered. Ability to work collaboratively and transparently with othersand the public You must meet the following conditions before being hired, or within the time frame noted.

Valid
Class 5 Driver’s Licence or equivalent Works primarily within an office setting The work has high volume, tight deadlines, multiple shifting priorities, and constant work interruptions. The incumbent may be expected to set aside other work in order to process urgent financial requests or transactions within a very short (i.e., one day, a few hours) timeline.
