Reporting to the Senior Director, you will lead initiatives that promote safety and community well-being through First Nations legal systems. This position involves extensive policy development and representation for First Nations families. Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for First Nations laws and justice traditions
- Formulate strategies addressing systemic justice issues
- Lead policy recommendations for safety enhancements
- Represent AFN in government and community discussions
- Foster a cooperative team environment and mentorship Requirements:
- Background in Law, Indigenous Studies, or related field
- 7+ years in First Nations policy and leadership roles
- Proven experience addressing justice challenges in communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
