Overview The Contract Specialist at Client Healthcare is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of commercial contracts that support the organization’s Canadian healthcare business. This role ensures that all agreements are drafted, reviewed, and negotiated in alignment with regulatory requirements, Client Healthcare policies, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer and supplier contracts, including equipment sales agreements, service agreements, and technology/SaaS-related terms.
- Ensure all contract language is accurate, compliant, and aligned with legal, regulatory, and internal policy standards.
- Lead and support negotiations with hospitals, health authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, including execution, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
- Conduct risk assessments and advise internal teams on contractual risks and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain complete and audit-ready documentation within Client Healthcare contract management systems.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Service teams to ensure obligations are met.
- Provide expert guidance on contract terms, policy updates, and dispute resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
- Experience in contract management, procurement, or commercial operations.
- Strong understanding of contract law, compliance, and procurement best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills.
- Proven negotiation and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with robust capability in drafting and reviewing complex agreements.
Additional Considerations
- May coordinate RFPs, bids, proposals, and pricing submissions.
- May act as a liaison to external legal counsel or health authority contracting bodies.
