Soccer is searching for a General Counsel to provide strategic legal advice to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities include managing legal risks, overseeing the drafting of contracts, and ensuring compliance with laws affecting sports and non-profits. This position also supports governance practices and provides guidance on employment and human rights matters. Key Responsibilities:

- Advise Executives on legal and governance matters.
- Monitor and recommend changes regarding legal trends.
- Negotiate and draft commercial agreements and contracts.




- Support development of governance documentation and policies.
- Oversee compliance on labor relations and member interactions.

Requirements:

- Law degree and good standing with a Canadian law society.
- 4-7 years of progressive legal experience.
- Knowledge of corporate and not-for-profit law.
- Experience with governance and regulatory compliance.
- Bilingualism preferred, additional languages an asset.
