Are you a operational leader passionate about community, sports management, and organizational growth? Feildians Athletic Association (FAA)—one of Canada’s oldest and largest soccer clubs—is looking for a General Manager to lead daily operations, business management, and community engagement in St. John's, NL.

About the Role Reporting to the Board of Directors through the President, the General Manager serves as the club’s senior operations and business lead. You will turn strategic vision into tangible execution—managing administration, finance, facility operations, member relations, and revenue generation while supporting our technical staff and volunteer network.

Key Responsibilities

- Operations & Member Relations: Manage day-to-day operations, registration systems (RAMP), facility/field scheduling, and member communications.
- Financial Management & Growth: Partner with the Treasurer to manage annual budgets, payroll, sponsorship generation, grant applications, and revenue development.
- Governance & Strategy: Execute Board-approved strategic plans, deliver monthly operational reports, and support Board committees.
- Programs & Facilities:



Collaborate with the Club Head Coach on programming calendars, oversee equipment/apparel procurement, and handle day-to-day facility maintenance.
- HR & Compliance: Oversee non-technical staff recruitment, summer student onboarding, and ensure adherence to Safe Sport, NLSA, and CSA policies.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Progressively senior management experience in sports, recreation, or community operations.
- Strong background in budgeting, volunteer management, HR, marketing, and strategic planning.
- Tech-savvy (MS Office, modern operations platforms; familiarity with AI tools or Veo video is an asset).
- Familiarity with Feildians or the Newfoundland and Labrador soccer community is an asset.

Position Details & Compensation

- Type: Full time, Permanent, Year-round (On-site in St. John's, NL)
- Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 per year
- Bonus: Up to $10,000 annual performance bonus tied to agreed Board KPIs
