Position Title: Grassroots Sport Coach - Soccer, Hockey, Basketball, Baseball

Position Term: Part-time on-going

Reports To: Athletic Director and Sport Coordinator

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sport Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multiple sports, with the ability to educate and inspire players of all skill levels. This role involves not only coaching on the field but also fostering a positive team environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship across various sports.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement training programs that enhance player skills and performance in baseball and soccer.
- Conduct on-field practices and drills, focusing on technique, strategy, and teamwork for both sports.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement in each sport.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes respect and collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaching staff regarding team progress and individual goals.
- Ensure the safety of all players during practices and games by adhering to safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the club head coach and support staff.
- Attend staff meetings to discuss program planning and player development.

Experience




- Previous coaching experience in multiple sports is mandatory. A strong understanding of the essential skills for each sport is required.
- Experience providing quality coaching to youth ages 4-14 in any of the sports mentioned.
- Experience working with youth or amateur athletes is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire players.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback.
- A willingness to engage in continuous learning about coaching techniques and player development.
- Relevant coaching certifications in any of the sports (e.g., baseball or soccer) are an asset.
