Matrix HR is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators for major open-pit gold mine projects in Northern Manitoba and Ontario. What We Offer

Key Responsibilities
- Operate full-size production equipment including John Deere 870/290 and CAT 336/349 excavators
- Execute bulk earthmoving, mass excavation, and haul road construction according to project specifications
- Load articulated and rigid-frame rock trucks in a fast-paced production environment
- Operate dozers such as CAT D6 to D8 for material pushing and stockpile management
- Maintain equipment to operational standards and participate in daily safety briefings
- Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Support finishing activities such as sloping, ditching, and final grading as required
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to ensure effective project execution
- Ensure all work meets project quality standards and technical specifications
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating full-size excavators or dozers in an industrial setting
- Demonstrated experience with mass excavation and material handling in a production environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team
- Experience in mining, heavy civil, or remote energy environments is a strong asset
- Familiarity with GPS machine control systems and finishing techniques
- Ability to work in a camp environment for the full duration of the project
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Must be located within Canada. We do not provide LMIA support or work permit sponsorships.
