What We Look For In a High School Chemistry Tutor Deep knowledge of atomic structure, periodic table trends, chemical bonding, nomenclature, stoichiometry, states of matter, gas laws, solutions, acids and bases, and basic thermochemistry. Ability to explain electron configurations, ionic versus covalent bonding, mole conversions, and balancing chemical equations while preparing students for AP Chemistry, college placement, and standardized science assessments.
