Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (3 Days WFO)

Duration: 06-12 Months

Hourly Pay Rate: 70 CAD/hr

The client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their team. The role involves working with AWS Lake Formation and Quick Sight Infrastructure, Terraform, Identity Center, and Agent Core. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, launching, and scaling DFPaaS (Data Factory Platform as a Service) across CPPIB Data Product Producers to ensure consistent tooling for high-quality data products. Additional responsibilities include strengthening entitlement capability, launching self-serve data subscription, and improving data discovery through simplified catalog organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in data engineering
- Proficiency in AWS Lake Formation, Amazon S3, Glue Catalog,



Amazon EMR/EC2/Serverless, Spark, and Athena
- Experience with Amazon Neptune DB, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, and AWS Lambda
- Expertise in Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- Solid knowledge of IAM

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience with Angular
- Familiarity with low latency solutions
- Knowledge of data portal content tagging and search

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with data product producers to build interoperable data products
- Enhance data subscription and sharing capabilities
- Improve data discovery processes
