Description We are looking for one responsible home support worker/caregiver to help take care of our elderly mother with a disability in Burlington, ON. Work in employer’s/client’s home. Public transportation is available. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis.

Note: This is not a condition of employment.

Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent.

Wage: $22/Hour @ 30 – 44 hours per week.

Target Audience

Persons with a disability, Elderly, Females.

Qualifications Education: Secondary (high) School Certificate, College or other courses related in home support. First aid certification is preferred.

Work experience: Six months work experience is preferred.

Languages: English.





Responsibilities - Administer bedside and personal care

- Assist clients in water (i.e., pool)
- Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walk)
- Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Change non-sterile dressings
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Provide personal care
- Provide companionship
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
