Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Safety Watch is to oversee and ensure the personal safety of workers and visitors at the worksite.
Key Safety Duties
- Bottle Watch– Monitoring and ensuring the availability of breathing air equipment.
- Spark Watch– Observing and controlling fire hazards in high-risk areas.
- Safety Watch– Overseeing workers in confined spaces or hazardous environments.
- Rescue Watch– Being prepared to assist in emergency situations.
Qualifications To be considered for the Safety Watch position,
candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Strong English communication skills are essential in this role (both verbal and written).
- Positive vision and hearing to effectively monitor worksite conditions.
- Must be clean-shaven each shift to ensure proper fit of breathing apparatus.
- Physically capable of performing tasks including:
- Working at heights and/or climbing ladders.
- Entering and working in confined spaces.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing/pulling tools and objects.
- Sitting and driving.
- Bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Standing and walking for long periods.
- Working in adverse weather conditions(heat, cold, rain, wind).
- Working 10–12 hour shifts(flexibility for extended shifts based on client requirements).
