We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team on a 6-to-12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring or early HR career professional looking to gain broad exposure across human resources administration, employee onboarding, HR systems, employee communications, and reporting.
As a key member of the HR team, you will support day-to-day HR operations and help ensure an exceptional employee experience. You will work closely with HR Business Partners, Recruitment, Payroll, Benefits, and employees across the organization while developing practical experience across the employee lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities
Employee & HR Administration
- Manage and respond to inquiries received through the HR mailbox, escalating questions when appropriate.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and privacy requirements.
- Prepare employment-related documents, including employment confirmations, change letters, and other employee correspondence.
- Support employee lifecycle activities, including new hires, transfers, promotions, leaves, contract extensions, and terminations.
- Ensure employee information is accurately maintained within HR systems and databases.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Support onboarding activities for new employees, including system updates, documentation, and welcome communications.
- Coordinate and host monthly employee orientation sessions.
- Assist employees with basic HR system questions and troubleshooting.
- Help maintain HR resources and information available to employees.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Perform data entry and updates within the HRIS and related systems.
- Run and distribute regular HR reports for internal stakeholders.
- Monitor employee data for accuracy and identify discrepancies for correction.
- Support contract tracking, employee status changes, and other administrative processes.
Communications & Programs
- Assist with preparation and distribution of HR communications.
- Support updates to the HR intranet and employee resources.
- Contribute to employee wellness, engagement, and learning initiatives.
- Assist with administration of education assistance and employee programs.
Team Support & Projects
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with maintaining templates, forms, trackers, and team documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team as required.
Qualifications and Education
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Recent graduate with some business / HR experience or at least 2 years of administrative, customer service, or HR-related experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word,
Outlook, and Teams.
- Demonstrated customer service mindset and willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience with HRIS platforms is considered an asset.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $50,000-$60,000 .
The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, and the consideration of internal equity.
