We'relooking for a professional, approachable and highly organized Human ResourcesCoordinator to join our HR team and support approximately 140 employeesworking across our locations in and around Calgary. Thisis a hands-on HR role focused on the day-to-day employee experience.
One momentyou may be interviewing a candidate, the next you're helping a new employeeunderstand their schedule, preparing an employment document, setting up acompany phone or tracking down the answer to an employee's question. We'reideally looking for someone with Human Resources education whoenjoys the hands-on, day-to-day side of HR. However, candidates with relevantexperience supporting Human Resources, recruitment, onboarding, employeeservices or similar functions are also encouraged to apply.
YourRole in HR Workingalongside our HR Advisor and Payroll/Benefits Administrator, you'll helpsupport the day-to-day HR needs of our team.
Yourresponsibilities will include
- Recruitment– Conducting initial screening interviews and assisting throughout the recruitment process to help us find the diamonds who will excel in a specialized, 5-Star Customer Service environment.
- Onboarding– Preparing new-hire documentation, completing required setup and ensuring new employees have the information, access and tools they need to besuccessful. Thankfully, there are checklists.
- New-HireOrientation – Helping welcome new employees toMcInnis & Holloway and introducing them to our culture, policies,schedules, systems and the practical details they need to get started.
- Day-to-DayHR – Responding to employee questions suchas: How much vacation do I have? What are my benefits? Where can Ifind...? Could I get a letter of employment?
- UniformProgram – Managing our uniform inventory, distributing clothing and footwear to employees and ordering items fromour suppliers. We provide our employees with their professional wardrobe,and our team needs to always look its best.
- Technology& Tools – Assisting with the setup of companyiPhones, Microsoft and Google accounts and helping employees troubleshooteveryday technology questions with support from IT when needed.
- EmployeeRecords & Documentation –Maintaining accurate employee information and documentation in Payworksand our internal systems.
- EmployeeSupport – Building positive relationships withemployees across our locations,
including many team members you mayprimarily interact with through Teams, email or telephone. Thankfully,there are pictures.
- EverythingElse HR – The list above isn't everything. HRtends to be the catch-all, and there are always ongoing projects, employeeinitiatives and other day-to-day tasks to get involved in. WhatMakes a Great HR Coordinator Ourstrongest HR team members combine organization and positive judgment with a genuinedesire to help people. Youdont need to know the answer to every question. You do need to care enough tofind it.
Youare likely to succeed in this role if you:

- Payclose attention to details and understand the importance of accuracy whenworking with employee information and documentation.

- Presentyourself professionally and understand the unique environment in which wework. WhatYou Bring - Threeyears of relevant professional experience supporting Human Resources,recruitment, onboarding, employee services or similar functions is required.
- FormalHuman Resources education, completed or currently enrolled, is preferred.
- Strongorganizational and time-management skills.
- Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
- Strongattention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Abilityto handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Aprofessional,
approachable and 5-Star Customer Service mindset.
- Comfortworking with technology and learning new systems.
- Experiencewith Payworks or another HRIS is considered an asset.
- Experiencewith Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace is considered an asset.
- Workingknowledge of Alberta employment legislation and HR practices is consideredan asset.
- Experienceworking in a service-focused environment is considered an asset. Schedule& Compensation Thisis a full-time, in-office position working Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to4:30 p.m.
- Startingwage of $28.00 per hour.
