The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced and collaborative Human Resources Manager to join their team in a full-time, on-site role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys combining strategic HR planning with hands-on day-to-day execution. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape HR programs, support employee development, provide guidance to managers, and contribute to a positive and engaged workplace.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and building strong relationships throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Programs
- Partner with senior HR leadership to develop and implement short- and long-term HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead annual performance and compensation review processes.
- Support compensation and total rewards initiatives by reviewing market trends and recommending improvements.
- Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and training initiatives.
- Support employee recognition and other organizational development initiatives.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate interviews, offers, reference/background checks, and hiring processes.
- Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs and support recruitment initiatives.
- Help develop and maintain an effective onboarding experience for new employees.
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on a broad range of HR matters.
- Lead employee relations investigations and recommend fair, practical resolutions.
- Support disciplinary and performance management processes.
- Manage employee offboarding,
including exit interviews and termination processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when dealing with sensitive employee matters.
Employee Engagement & Development
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, celebrations, and workplace events.
- Organize learning and development opportunities to support employee growth and leadership development.
- Coordinate employee surveys and assist with implementing improvements based on employee feedback.
- Support initiatives designed to strengthen workplace culture and employee experience.
HR Operations
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage HRIS updates and review transactions completed by the HR Coordinator.
- Partner with Finance to support bi-weekly payroll preparation.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce data, including turnover and other key HR metrics.
- Support year-end HRIS processes and reporting requirements.
- Develop and distribute employee communications.
- Maintain accurate job descriptions and position profiles.
- Assist with special projects and other HR initiatives as required.
Team Leadership
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development to the Human Resources Coordinator.
- Partner with senior HR leadership on performance planning, feedback, and evaluations.
- Provide additional recruitment and onboarding support as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of progressive HR experience, including experience with recruitment and employee relations.
- CPHR designation, or working toward a CPHR designation, is considered an asset.
- Previous leadership or people-management experience is an asset.
- Experience working with an HRIS.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with leadership and employees.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for occasional work-related travel.
- Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check.
