About the Role
We're looking for a strong math tutor to support a Grade 10 AP Math student. The primary focus is academic support through the AP coursework, with a secondary focus on helping the student transition smoothly into high school more broadly.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver original lesson plans aligned with the Ontario curriculum
- Support the student through current AP Math coursework
- Identify and supplement areas of weakness, and provide enrichment where the student is already strong
- Help the student build habits and strategies for a successful high school transition
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on progress
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Grade 10 AP Math and the Ontario curriculum
- Experience creating original lesson plans, not just following a textbook
- Willing to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check upon hiring
- Available afternoons/evenings, weekdays or weekends
- Reliable and able to work in-person in Mississauga
