Reporting to the Manager of Saskatchewan Health Authority Emergency, the Indigenous Nurse Liaison is responsible for providing clinical nursing care in a rapid-paced emergency setting. Main Duties - Clinical nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting

- Patient navigation and advocacy for First Nations and Metis patients and familie
- Cultural liaison work, including facilitating access to Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and traditional healing practices




- Discharge planning and case coordination with community and healthcare services.
- Health education, counseling, and crisis intervention
- Cultural safety leadership for patients, families, and healthcare teams QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan
- At least 2 years of relevant healthcare experience
- Experience working with First Nations and Metis populations is preferred
- Indigenous language skills are considered an asset SKILLS - Strong understanding of First Nations and Metis cultures and holistic health approaches
- Knowledge of social determinants of health and healthcare systems
- Crisis intervention and counseling abilities
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
