Explore a six-month interim role as a Maintenance Technician with the DRRSB, working flexible schedule across various maintenance tasks in the Rainy River District. Handle carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, and be on standby for snow removal. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will conduct maintenance throughout assigned projects and DRRSB buildings.
Your skills will encompass diverse tasks including grounds-keeping, janitorial work, and emergency repairs after hours. You will also manage unit turn-over duties and investigate heating and appliance issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry, plumbing, and electrical maintenance
- Conduct painting and unit turn-over tasks
- Investigate and repair heating and appliances
- Manage snow removal and grounds-keeping duties
- Travel throughout the Rainy River District as needed
Requirements:
- Two-year diploma or apprenticeship in a related field
- At least three years of relevant maintenance experience
- Proficient in preventive and general maintenance repairs
- Effective communication skills and teamwork ability
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
