Posting ID: 2570 - this recruitment is for an existing vacancy Department: Office of the CAO Division: Information Technology Position Type: Student; to be eligible for a student position, the applicant must be enrolled in a secondary school, college, or university programme, in a full-time capacity.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week: regular schedule is 8:30 am - 4:00 pm onsite/in-person; This student position is available from early January until the end of April. the County of Wellington is an employer that provides service onsite. Reporting to the Information Technology (IT) Operations Manager, the County of Wellington has an opening for a co-op student within the IT division of the Office of the CAO. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced developers to assist with the development and support of our in house developed applications and reports.

Under the supervision of the IT Operations Manager, the IT Developer Co-op Student has the following duties and responsibilities: Writes unit tests for existing and new systems. Provides technical support. Performs technical analysis work including development,



problem resolution and root cause analysis across multiple products and platforms.

Works in partnership with all members of the IT team in the development, implementation and testing of systems. Prepares and maintains high quality technical documentation according to the department standards. Currently enrolled in University or College co-op programme in a full time capacity, preferably in a Computer Science programme.

Experience in application support, software and database development is required.

Experience using C#/VB.net and SQL Server is required.

Experience with SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports and JD Edwards Enterprise One are definite assets. Familiarity with MSTest is an asset. Familiarity with Azure DevOps is an asset. Knowledge of current Microsoft Office products.

Pay Range: $35.51 - $45.66 (2026 Student Compensation Grid) Pension: As a non-full time (NFT) employee of an OMERS employer, you are eligible to elect to join the OMERS Pension Plan at any time.
