Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)

Job Summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced Java Developer to support its client, State Street, in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs, with experience building scalable enterprise applications in Agile environments. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that support critical financial services applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and other developers throughout the SDLC.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while providing ongoing application support.
- Integrate applications with relational databases, messaging systems, and third-party services.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.




- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong experience with Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Solid experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA and ORM frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Gradle, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with financial services or banking domain, preferably Capital Markets or Asset Management.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Familiarity with OpenShift or container-based deployments.
- Experience with SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing frameworks.
