Goose Mechanical is a Calgary based mechanical contractor specializing in commercial plumbing and HVAC construction. We're building a high-quality service team from the ground up - this is a ground floor opportunity with real room to grow as the company scales.
Role
We're looking for an experienced Journeyman Gasfitter A to join our founding team. You'll handle preventative maintenance, modifications, installations, and service calls for commercial clients, working on a wide range of mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance visits per client service agreements
- Diagnose and repair all types of commercial mechanical equipment
- Assist with scoping, estimating, and planning new work or projects
- Install new systems in accordance with construction plans and specifications
- Complete accurate work orders, service reports, and equipment documentation
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Identify, report and recommend additional service or repairs, if needed, during site visits
- Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and follow all safety protocols
- Respond to occasional after-hours or emergency calls as part of a shared on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Gasfitter A required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial service experience
- Class 5 license with a clean drivers abstract required
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across varied equipment types
- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
- Robust verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess a comprehensive set of personal trade tools
