Join Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. as a Journeyperson Steamfitter-Pipefitter working at our Mill Site in Athabasca County, Alberta. This 1-year contract features a compressed work schedule from Monday to Thursday. In this skilled role, you will be responsible for the layout, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems used in a variety of processes, including heating and cooling operations.
With over five years of experience in steam fitting and maintenance, you will work independently and prioritize tasks to meet regulatory codes and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform steam-pipefitter maintenance and repair tasks independently
- Fabricate new piping runs following regulatory specifications
- Interpret Isometric drawings and ensure accurate documentation
- Execute repairs and maintenance on piping systems
- Complete all safety documentation and hazard assessments
Requirements:
- 5 - 7+ years of experience in steam fitting
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver's license with valuable driving record
- Pass mechanical aptitude and drug tests
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and lift heavy items
