Work Schedule:
This position operates on a rotating shift schedule to support laboratory operations. Team members are expected to work a combination of day and evening shifts , with occasional overnight shifts as part of the rotation. Flexibility to work varying shifts is required .
Summary:
AGAT Laboratories is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SCAL Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of special core analysis experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct a range of SCAL experiments to evaluate reservoir rock properties
- Operate and maintain SCAL laboratory equipment
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Demonstrate robust problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Utilize various shop and hand tools for SCAL experiment setup and sample preparation
- Contribute to a safe and organized laboratory environment
What you bring to the table:
- Flexibility with shift schedule - comfort level working evenings, weekends and overnight shifts
- Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a quick paced environment
Work Environment:
This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
