Experience Without Limits Come shape the future of brand experience.

At Jack Morton, we design and build head-turning, smile-inducing, impact-driving brand experiences that redefine what experiential marketing can achieve. We help our clients unlock the full value of experiences by turning bold ideas into meaningful connections.

That takes a team that's bold, curious, and acts as one. We build on each other's ideas, challenge conventions, and show up for one another every day. Here, you'll do your best work, grow quickly, and partner across clients, disciplines, and global teams to bring new ideas to life.

This is a place where curiosity drives what’s next, boldness raises the bar, and every win is shared. Where ownership is expected, egos are left at the door, and the work reflects the passion and talent of the people behind it.

Experience without limits—in your work, your growth, and your impact.

At Jack Morton, we don’t just build exhibits—we build experiences that people remember. From show-stopping trade show environments to immersive brand activations, our teams turn big ideas into real-world experiences that connect, inspire, and endure.

We’re looking for a Lead Prep Technician - Trade Shows, Exhibits & Events to join our Services team and help bring these experiences to life. If you’re a hands-on builder, natural problem-solver, and confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, this could be your next big opportunity.

What You’ll Do

As a Prep Technician Lead, you’ll be the person who makes sure every detail is ready to go—from the first piece staged in our facility to the final component installed onsite. You’ll lead by example, keep projects moving, and make sure everything is built right, packed right, and show-ready.

You’ll:

- Lead the build process in-house, including staging, installation, dismantling, packing, cleaning, and repairing exhibit structures and components.
- Inspect staged projects to ensure quality, completeness, accuracy,

and alignment with project specifications.
- Bring technical drawings to life by reading and interpreting blueprints, dimensions, and build requirements.
- Lead the assembly and erection of exhibit structures and related components.
- Take the show on the road, traveling to event sites to supervise installation and dismantling (I&D;) of trade show booths and experiential environments.
- Operate equipment safely, including forklifts and aerial lifts such as scissor lifts.
- Lead and support technicians and contractors, helping the Services team deliver exceptional work safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Solve problems in real time—because in live events, things don’t always go according to plan, and that’s where great technicians shine.

What You Bring You’re someone who knows how to make things happen. You’re comfortable working with your hands, reading technical drawings, leading a crew, and jumping in when a project needs an extra set of skilled eyes—or hands.

You’ll ideally have:

- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or trade training is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in exhibit production, staging, live events, construction, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with exhibit builds, trade shows, live events, or similar production environments.
- Robust leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A safety-first mindset and the ability to keep quality high in a fast-moving environment.

- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for event installations and dismantles.

We do not discriminate on race, religion, color, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
