Harrison Pensa is hiring an experienced Learning and Development Coordinator to spearhead training initiatives to develop and improve employee productivity, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an engaging, highly organized, and ambitious individual to develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for individual users and practice groups.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver extensive employee on-boarding training to all recent employees; inclusive but not limited to computer software and systems, phone and voicemail management, video and web conferencing;
- Develop and deliver practice group specific training programs; inclusive of various end-user applications and legal industry software packages consistent with the LTC4 framework;
- Identify training and education opportunities and offer formal training programs to support individuals in improving job skills;
- Work with support staff and develop in-depth understanding of systems and software and provide recommendations on improving processes or further education;
- Provide training on security and compliance based on LTC4 curriculum, SOC 2/ISO/ITIL frameworks, and firm standards;
- Deliver training on new software, software and operating system upgrades, and hardware upgrades as they arise;
- Develop and maintain a monitoring system for completion of training initiatives;
- Collect feedback from trainees to develop programs and/or create further initiatives for the firm;
- Liaise with IT to create new tools and/or processes for continuous improvement;
- Participate in IT projects where those projects have a training element to them;
- Maintain firm library records, including distribution and processing new material, tracking invoicing and receipts, contacting vendors, etc.;
- Other duties as required.
The successful candidate ideally has the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Learning and Development, HR, Education, or related field;
- 5 to 8 years of experience developing and delivering training programs both individual and group settings;
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly articulate information to others;
- Strong relationship building skills and interpersonal skills; develop relationships with all employees;
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications;
- Proficiency in video editing and knowledge management/training systems;
- Proficient in various legal software and technologies such as iManage, Aderant, Legal AI Software; considered an asset;
- Experience working in a professional services environment considered an asset;
- Ability to learn new software, technology, business processes, etc. quickly and independently.
We offer a salary commensurate with experience and a collegial environment. The expected compensation range for this role is between $65,000 and $80,000.
