We are looking to add a legal assistant or paralegal with experience in construction or commercial litigation to our team. - Monitoring and advancing the progress of litigation matters
- Organizing and prioritizing material and workflow for review by lawyers
- Scheduling lawyers’ appointments for discovery, applications, and trial
- Assisting in the preparation of correspondence, pleadings, briefs, court forms and other documents
- Proofreading and editing documents
- Arranging for filing and service of court documents
- Communicating with clients, witnesses and other stakeholders
- File management and document administration – electronic and paper
- Experience with advanced AI-based software is an asset
- Maintenance of a bring forward system
- Calendar management, travel arrangements and other administrative tasks
