I am looking to hire a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to work in a OB/GYNE Clinic. The position is one where you are working in a team with one doctor at a time serving Obstetrical and Gynecologic patients.
As the LPN you would be a critical part of our team and spend a lot of time engaging with patients.
Responsibilities and Duties include
- Initial nursing assessment of patients
- Conducting patient histories, update demographics and medical documentation
- Performing certain diagnostic Interventions
- Initiating forms for the patient’s visit
- Setting up minor surgical procedures, IUD insertions etc.
- Answer patient’s telephone calls and address patient concerns, and some booking of future appointments
- Reviewing referral letters
- Discussing health issues (particularly OB related questions) over the phone with patients
- Keep examination areas clean, orderly, and stocked with supplies
To be successful in this role the required Qualifications are:
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse Program
- 2 years minimum experience in a medical clinic
- Current CPR and First Aid
- Excellent verbal and Written communication skills
- Knowledge of Connect Care and an EMR
- References on request
Additional skills that are prioritized / beneficial but not required:
- proficiency in an additional language (ex. Arabic, Tigrinya, French, or others)
Job Type: Full time Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour
