Job Overview

We are looking for a mechanically inclined Machine Operator / Hydraulic Assembler to join our manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will work with our experienced machinist and production team to manufacture, prepare, and assemble components used in our equipment. This is a hands-on position involving conventional machining, drilling, forming, threading, hydraulic assembly, and testing.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is comfortable working from engineered drawings, and takes pride in producing accurate, quality work.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal performance throughout production runs
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to perform exact assembly tasks
- Conduct welding, machining, or mechanical adjustments as needed to meet quality specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Assist with forklift operation for material handling within the warehouse or production area
- Follow detailed work instructions and schematics to assemble products accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and assembly details
- Operate conventional machine tools and production equipment
- Machine components using conventional lathes under the guidance of our machinist
- Operate radial drills and other drilling equipment
- Operate mechanical shear and hydraulic brake press equipment
- Operate hydraulic hose crimping and pipe threading equipment
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, fit, and quality
- Set up and prepare equipment,



including adjusting speeds and operating parameters
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Assemble hydraulic power packs and related components
- Mount and connect motors, pumps, reservoirs, valves, filtration systems, hoses, and fittings
- Perform pressure and performance testing on completed hydraulic power packs
- Inspect hydraulic connections and components for leaks or deficiencies
- Identify damaged, malfunctioning, or non-conforming components and report them to the supervisor
- Complete required preventative maintenance checklists
- Record labour hours accurately by job
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE standards

Qualifications & Skills

- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawings
- Experience with conventional machining or industrial equipment is an asset
- Familiarity with lathes, drills, mills, brake presses, shears, or similar equipment is an asset
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems is an asset
- Ability to work accurately and maintain tight tolerances where required
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Willingness to learn new machinery, processes, and assembly methods
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy components as required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

We are looking for someone who is mechanically capable, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working with both machinery and hands-on assembly. Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
