emergiTEL is hiring a Mail Associate (Level 1) for our client in the Document Management and Business Services industry. This is a Contract role.

Compensation: $18.56 - $19.45/hour

Location: Westminster, BC

(English)

Scanning

- Prepare customer documents for the digital imaging process.

- Check physical documents for quality issues that may complicate the scan process.

- Prepare a wide array of document types and conditions for scanning.

- Index scanned images according to naming mechanisms outlined by the customer and/or RDIC leadership, along with additional post-imaging services.

- As needed, assist with additional print-related workflows.

- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

- Physical demands: Minimal to moderate physical effort required. Some moving of boxes and loading paper into machines will be required.

- Project preparation and scan work will require finger dexterity and movement between machines for different types of documents.

- Mental demands: Problem-solving, teaching, written and verbal communication, information comprehension, and mental acuity.

Mail

- Receive, sort, and process mail documents, packages, and supplies. Notify recipients.

- Record and process accountable mail information and maintain logs.

- Basic printing utilizing colour production printers.

- Operate mail equipment including mail inserters, sorters, and finishing equipment.

- Perform quality checks on outbound mail.

- Perform mail labeling and mail merge.

- Perform electronic mail distribution (open, mail preparation, scan, and distribute).





- Perform fulfillment functions such as assembly, packaging, and kitted materials.

- Follow mailroom security procedures.

- Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs.

- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

- Ability and willingness to learn.

- Other duties as assigned.

Skills Level 1

- Good communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.

- Self-motivated.

- Able to read, write, and follow English instructions.

- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform duties with minimal supervision.

Level 2

- All skills listed above.

- Ability to operate high-volume mail and insertion equipment.

Experience Level 1

- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a qualified working environment.

- Experience in a client-facing environment.

Level 2

- All experience listed above.

- 1 to 2 years of experience in a mailroom environment.

Education Level 1 and Level 2

- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.

Level 3

- All education listed above.

- Specialized mailroom/mailing training and certification.
